Notes If anyone were to stop and think about what menopause is and how it has affected them personally then write it down, you would hear some very diverse stories.  Some stories are funny, some are sad, some are inspirational.   My story begins with my mom.  My mom began perimenopause in her early 30′s.  I watched her go from a happy, thoughtful, caring wife, mother, friend to someone who spent many days in misery.  My dad is traditional by all means and just couldn’t understand what she was going through.  He would often tease her about her weight, her moodiness and irritability.  The teasing turned into taunting. He would say that women made up the symptoms of menopause so that they didn’t have to deal with the cleaning or cooking or even having sex.  My mom would cry at the drop of a hat.  She was a beautiful, petitie woman.  When I say petite, I mean she weighed about 85 pounds but healthy. In just a few short years, she had gained 30-40 lbs.  Once bubbly and fun, she now hid in her room many nights.  Fast forward about 30 years – my parents are divorced and my dad STILL makes fun about menopause. Truth be told, menopause was one of a number of issues my parents had but it was the catalyst.  I have 2 sisters, both are currently going through perimenopause.  My dad still jokes about it being a condition of convenience. A convenience to stop being a woman. This sends the three of us through the roof! But that’s dad.  So that’s my story. Biography My husband Chris and I started this business because we felt that there were too many stories about women suffering in silence out there to be ignored.  We both have over 20 years of experience working with large consumer packaged goods companies such as M&M/Mars and Coca-Cola.  We knew that if we put the right group of people together, we could create something that could help millions of women to get their quality of life back.  We’ve taken this as our personal mission to figure out how to get the best, most researched, natural ingredients into something that women would enjoy taking every day.  I am what some may call a VERY PICKY person and I do NOT like pills.  So we decided to combine these 100% natural ingredients into a soft chew that tasted great and allowed women to take it on the go.  Live Cool is just that.  I eat 2 soft chews a day and LOVE them.  Menopause is not preventable, but the symptoms are!
