Notes Owned by a woman. Biography In December of 2011, I wanted a bit of fur for my winter wardrobe, but living in Texas, I knew a coat didn’t make sense. So, I hand sewed a fur cover for one of my clutches, and 8 months later, Clutched & Covered was officially born! As my two daughters progressed through the levels of gymnastics, their practice time increased from one day per week to five days per week. The task of keeping them in practice leotards became more and more difficult as they were growing so fast and needed more than a couple leotards to make it through a week. Several years ago, I began making practice leotards for our two girls due to high prices and lack of choice in our local area. It wasn’t long before other parents wanted me to make leotards for their children as well. Sometimes it was difficult to keep the orders straight and arrange for payment.
