Notes Owned by a female Biography Cute and affordable tooth fairy pillows for your child, rice warmers, and other handmade items. Local pick up available. All handmade in the USA by Heather Mix. I began sewing when I was about 8 years old. I was in the Edinburg Seambusters 4-H Club until I was 18 years old. I made many outfits during that time- skirts, dress clothes, baptism outfits and even my Homecoming dress. I have continued to sew off and on since then, making home projects occassionally, baptism outfits for my own children, etc. In 2012, I decided I needed to make my daughter a tooth fairy pillow because she was turning 5 and could lose a tooth at any time. My mom had made tooth pillows for my sister and myself when I was younger and I wanted to do that for my girls. I started getting requests for tooth fairy pillows, so I made some more and began selling them. My sister then requested that I make her a new rice pillow because hers had a hole in it and she couldn’t use it anymore. I made her one, and added those to my projects. I sew for fun, I sew for others. It is just me, working out of my basement in Northeast Ohio, USA. I have other jobs…a mother to three amazing children, a wife to a wonderful and hardworking husband, a Director/teacher of a Preschool, a Creative Memories consultant. I sew because it is very calming for me, giving me a sense of peace and finality.
