My name is Charlene Wilkins. First and foremost, I am a wife, mother and now a grandmother too. My family’s background was in the outdoor furniture industry. I was probably the only girl with Barbie clothes made from umbrella fabric as every time I would visit my father at the office, one of the seamstresses would insist on making me a new outfit for my Barbie. Since I grew up watching the textile manufacturing process, it was only natural that I would develop a love for all things textile related.
