Now I want a Tesla!

I’m not usually much of a car person. My husband is always researching and talking about them. I went to the Cleveland Auto Show for years, without anything really catching my eye. I’ve owned Ford and GM stock in the past, but only because the financials made sense. Cars are just not that interesting to me. They get me from place to place and are an expense. End of story.

Until now.

After a recent trip, my husband came home raving about Tesla. Apparently he had a few minutes to burn, and decided to stop into a Tesla dealer before dinner that was across from the restaurant. He came home extremely excited about our “next car.” Usually it’s hard for me to stay interested, but this time it was different–from innovative technology and reinventing the manufacturing process, to creating a beautiful and efficient car, this company is changing the future of automobiles.

Then, he shared this video with me–a true testament to innovation in US manufacturing. It’s well-worth the 5 minutes, showcasing the manufacturing process Tesla uses.

While we won’t be buying a new car for a while, I’m excited about the possibility of Tesla. And, I hope more US manufacturing facilities follow this lead on innovation!
