Idaho Gives May 2, 2013

Today, Idaho is coming together for community and cause! Targeted at nonprofits in communities across the state, a share of every dollar raised by Idaho nonprofits will be matched with funds from the Idaho Gives award pool. In addition, the top five organizations with the most unique donors (nonprofits are divided by size) will receive bonus grants of $3,000, $1,000, $500, $250, and $250 respectively. During the hours of 9am (MT) and 6pm (MT), the organizations have a chance to win an extra $1,000!
In addition to these online events, the nonprofit community in Boise is coming together to share their commitment in improving our community and state today from 11a.m. to 8p.m. at the Grove Plaza. There will be great entertainment for the whole family.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Vanessa Damelio, the Director of Artisans4Hope, last week. She shared her excitement for this important event. Her group will be displaying their Transition Story Cloths, and from 11a.m. to 1p.m., LeeAnn Garton of Cobble Crick Puppetry will be entertaining the crowd with her amazing puppets. With any in-person donations of $20 or more, contributors will receive a copy of the Artisans4Hope Voices in Transition Photo Journal!
