Dreaming of Chocolate

What could be better than spending your morning sampling delicious chocolate? I
can’t imagine many things!
Today I received a tour of the Dream Chocolate facility here in Boise, ID. It was so much fun to learn about the process, taste the high quality ingredients, and interact with the employees. What I loved the most about the chocolate I tried (and I tried A LOT), was all of the unique flavors—mango curry, sea salt with almonds, spicy tequila lime, lavender, pineapple coconut. I could go on…but that would just make me sound even piggier than I felt for eating SO MUCH CHOCOLATE. How could I resist, though?
The tour was really great—all of their chocolate is hand poured, so I got to see the
fine art of this method. Not only could I taste the care that went into making each
bar with how perfectly the flavor was distributed, I also really connected with
passion each of the employees puts in to creating each bar.
I spent some great time with the owner—while male, he takes immense pride in the
number of female leaders Dream employs, as well as the number of women who
earn a fair paycheck by working there. We also discussed our mutual love of food
and the importance of quality ingredients—this was definitely reinforced in the
smooth and unique flavor of the chocolates I tasted.
I can’t wait to start shipping this product so everyone will be able to try the
decadent treats Dream Chocolate makes!

Hi Alicia,
I have to say that I’d never heard of Dream Chocolate until I had some pastries from Sol Bakery . (Did I do that html right? Sol is at http://www.solbakery.com and is at 3910 Hill Road here in Boise.) The pastries were fabulous–all or mostly whole wheat “but still” delicious. Thanks for supporting them.

Hobie,
Sol is wonderful, isn’t it? Kerri was kind enough to make me a dairy-free bread and quiche! Talk about service and great food!
