Capital City Public Market is Capital FUN!
This morning Michael, Ella, and I shopped the Capital City Saturday Market. Since moving to Boise, this has become one of our favorite ways to spend our Saturday mornings! We love the combination of handcrafted gems, tasty food, and local produce and meats that are offered! We appreciate being able to support local businesses, buy organic produce directly from the source, and enjoy seeing our fellow Boiseans out and about! Plus, the products are all made in the USA, which means great things for the economy! This morning we tried some yummy African Samosas, bought some fresh pears, and enjoyed live music!
Our visit today was especially fun—I picked up one of our next giveaway items from Flynn Day Pottery. You’ll be seeing more on this giveaway soon! We’ll be announcing details via our newsletter, so sign up today!
I also spent some time visiting with the owner of Miss Courageous!
How can you go wrong with a name like that? The website has a phrase that we completely agree with, “Whether raising children, pursuing a career, or overcoming obstacles that life can throw you, there’s a little Miss Courageous in all of us!” It sounds like the owner, Millie Hilgert is a real- life rosie!
We’ve been seeing the Miss Courageous booth at other events like Art in the Park, and finally had a chance to talk about doing business together! We hope to start offering her product to our customers soon! It may not be until after the holidays–she’s having a difficult time keeping up with demand because her product is SO great!
I also saw the TK Doll booth for the first time! Talk about adorable product that is absolutely gift worthy! If you are interested in learning more about this company, visit the blog here.
Having lived in Portland and visited the Saturday Market regularly, it’s great to see that the Boise Market has plenty to offer. We also loved the West Side Market during our time living in Cleveland. We try to hit local markets wherever we travel! There’s just so much to enjoy when you can shop local!
Where are your favorite markets?
What do you think about the Capital City Market? What are your favorite booths to shop?

I love that you have a local farmers market near you. It’s such a great place to inspire and feed a creative mind. Plus find delicious food and must have items. Glad to see you’re also finding real life Rosies everywhere! Go ladies go!

Thanks to this post I know what to buy my kids for christmas. I still remember how I got my first ceramic pig bank when I was 7 or 8 years old, so now it’s their turn to receive one from me.
