2020 Women on Boards
Today, I was inspired by engaging with like-minded women. It’s amazing how many intelligent, motivated, impressive, and experienced women came out to the 12/12/12 Women on Boards Event here in Boise. There were even a few token men there with great ideas and support! Since rosieMADE is all about increasing wages and opportunities for women, we were thrilled to be a part of such a great, informative, and interactive event.
Some of my key takeaways from the lunch:
- Women want to lead, they want to advance. They want to support each other!
- Companies with women on boards have stronger results than those without women on them.
- Idaho has 10% women representation on Private Boards,* which leaves LOTS of room for improvement!
- We HAVE TO use our consumer spending for good. We have to spend deliberately to support what we believe in. We have to tell companies that advancing women is important!
